Delivery Scout — Privacy Policy

Delivery Scout ("the app," "we," "us") is an iOS app published by NG Digital Holdings that helps gig delivery drivers score offers and track their real earnings. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. The short version: your data stays on your device.
The short version
- No account, no sign-up. The app opens and works without creating an account.
- No servers of ours. We don't operate a backend — your data is never sent to us, because there's nowhere for it to go.
- Everything is stored locally on your device (and its app group), under your control.
- No tracking, no ads, no analytics SDKs, no data sales.
- You can export or erase all of your data at any time, from within the app.
- A few features use Apple's own services (Weather, Maps, App Store), governed by Apple's privacy policy.

2. What the app stores (on your device)
Delivery Scout stores the information you create or capture while using it. All of it is kept locally in the app's on-device database and shared app group container — never transmitted to us or any third party. This may include:
- Offers you score or log, including pay, mileage, time, restaurant, and pickup/drop-off addresses and coordinates;
- Your earnings, tips, expenses, and mileage records (including any notes you add);
- Your accept/decline decisions and the personal thresholds the app learns from them;
- Offers detected on-screen during Live mode (see Section 4);
- Your vehicle profile and app settings.
Because this data never leaves your device for our systems, we have no ability to access, view, or recover it. Deleting the app removes it.
3. What we do not do
- We do not collect, receive, or store your data on any server (we don't run one).
- We do not require or offer an account, and we do not have a cloud profile for you.
- We do not include third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your personal data.
4. Live mode — reading offers from your screen
Delivery Scout's optional Live feature lets the app read delivery offers directly from your screen so it can score them instantly. Exactly how it works:
- It uses Apple's standard ReplayKit system broadcast, which you start yourself and which iOS marks with a visible red status indicator the entire time it's active.
- The broadcast is processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision text recognition (OCR). No screen images, recordings, or frames are uploaded or saved off your device.
- The app extracts only the offer economics it needs to score an offer (pay, miles, minutes, restaurant name). Any address text on screen is processed transiently on-device and is never transmitted to us.
- It captures only your own device's screen, by design.
Note on the iOS extension type: Apple only provides a broadcast extension category named "broadcast-services-upload." Despite the name, Delivery Scout uploads nothing — all processing is local.
5. Apple services the app relies on
To deliver certain features, the app sends limited, request-specific information to Apple's services, which handle it under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive this data.

Notifications and alerts are generated locally on your device; the app does not use push notifications and sends nothing to a notification server.
6. Permissions the app may ask for
- Location (while using the app): to time routes with live traffic, map where you earn, and track deductible business mileage. Stays on your device.
- Motion & fitness: to detect when you're driving so the app can simplify the screen and keep mileage accurate. Processed on-device.
- Screen broadcast: only when you start Live mode (Section 4).
- Notifications: to alert you to high-value offers and shift reminders (delivered locally).
You can grant or revoke any of these in iOS Settings at any time.
7. Subscriptions & payments
Delivery Scout offers an optional paid subscription (Delivery Scout Pro). Purchases, billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We do not collect or store your payment information. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple account settings.
8. Your choices & controls
- Export: the app's Data & Privacy section lets you export a full copy of your data anytime.
- Erase: permanently erase all of your data from within the app, or by deleting the app.
- Optional lock: require Face ID / Touch ID (or your device passcode) to open the app.
9. Data security & retention
Your data lives only on your device, protected by iOS's standard app sandboxing and device encryption; exported files are written with file protection enabled. Because we hold none of your data, we retain nothing — you control how long it exists by keeping or deleting it on your device.
10. Children
Delivery Scout is intended for working adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Your rights
Because all of your data is on your device and under your direct control, you can already access, export, correct, and delete it yourself at any time. If you have questions about your privacy rights (including under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR), contact us below.
12. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will also be noted in the app where appropriate.
